Products et Brand

  • Where can I find the list of ingredients in Mavala products? The list of ingredients appears on the box of the product on sale. If this is not possible in practice (packaging too small or missing), the ‘open book’ symbol refers you to a leaflet which gives the list of ingredients. You can also find the list of ingredients for each product on sale on our website on their product page. If you have any questions about a particular product, please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • What does the ‘livret ouvert‘ symbol on the box of my Mavala product mean? This symbol invites you to refer to additional information (lists of ingredients, precautions for use) given on a leaflet or label attached to the product, when this information cannot be given on the product packaging due to lack of space.
  • What does the open jar symbol on product labelling mean? It indicates the ‘period after opening’ (PAO), i.e. the period of use without risk to the consumer after the first opening of the product, expressed as a number of months (‘M’), provided that the product is kept under normal storage conditions and not exposed to extreme temperatures.
  • What does the ‘flame’ symbol on my product box mean? It warns that the product should be kept away from sources of heat or ignition under all circumstances.
  • Do you offer product samples or promotional items? Unfortunately, we cannot respond individually to all requests for samples or promotional items. We invite you to visit one of our MAVALA beauty consultants in the pharmacy, who will be happy to show you our products and give you a brochure and samples.
  • Are Mavala products tested on animals? No, MAVALA products are not tested on animals in any country. Although the ban on animal testing in Switzerland is fairly recent (2018), MAVALA laboratories have been complying with this requirement for much longer, in accordance with European cosmetics regulations. The latter has prohibited animal testing since 2004, and the marketing of finished products containing ingredients tested on animals since 2009 (or 2013 for the latest tests). The words ‘not tested on animals’ do not appear on our products, as this is a legal obligation.
  • My nail varnish cap is stuck. How do I open it?
    Wrap a thick elastic band tightly around the cap several times. Hold the neck firmly, then unscrew normally (the rubber band will ‘stick’ in the palm of your hand and act as a lever). Alternatively, slide one of the two finger holes of a pair of nail or sewing scissors over the cap, and wrap a tea towel around the side of the closed blades (for a better grip and to avoid hurting yourself). Hold this covered part firmly to unscrew the cap normally (the scissors act as a lever).
  • Can Mavala products be used during pregnancy or when breast-feeding? Unless otherwise stated on the label, Mavala products can be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women. When manicure products are used (bases, varnishes, top coats, solvents), it is important to ventilate the room well.
  • Can Mavala nail varnishes be used during ablutions? All Mavala nail polishes, including bases and top coats, are sufficiently porous to allow the nail to breathe and receive water vapour.
  • Are Mavala products also suitable for men? All Mavala products are suitable for both men and women.
  • Are Mavala products natural? Some Mavala products contain a high percentage of natural ingredients, as indicated on the label.
  • How should I store my Mavala nail polish? We recommend storing your varnish at room temperature (avoiding extreme temperatures) and closing the cap tightly after each use to prevent the solvents from evaporating.
  • Can I use Mavala nail varnishes during chemotherapy treatment? Yes, by applying 2 thin coats of an opaque, covering shade to protect the nails from the harmful effects of UV rays. All the shades in our Bio-Color's range are suitable for this purpose. What's more, Mini Color's + SILICIUM and Mini Bio-Color's are enriched with fortifying organic silicon to help strengthen weakened nails. However, we recommend that you always seek medical advice before using these products.
  • What's the difference between Mini Color's and Mini Bio Color's? The Mini Bio-Color's formula is mainly biosourced, i.e. contains materials of renewable origin. The solvents are of plant origin (sugar cane, rice, beetroot) whereas those in Mini Color's are of petrochemical origin.
  • Which Mavala nail care product is best suited to my nail type? We advise you to try our nail diagnosis to obtain recommendations tailored to your needs.
  • Where are Mavala products made? All Mavala products are made in Switzerland, except pencils, make-up powders and anti-fungal, which are made in Europe.
  • Where can I buy Mavala products? You can buy our products on our website mavala.fr as well as from our distributors (pharmacies and department stores).

Orders and payment

  • Can I cancel/modify my Mavala order? If your order has not yet been processed, please write to us using our contact form. We will do our best to cancel the order. If your order has been processed, the information has already been sent to the warehouse so that it can be prepared and dispatched as quickly as possible. In this case, we will no longer be able to modify your order.
  • I have a problem with my Mavala order. If your parcel has been damaged or opened before you open it, take photos of the outside and the contents. Contact us via the contact form and we will find a solution.
  • What methods of payment do you accept? We accept credit cards, Mavala e-gift cards and PayPal.

Delivery

  • What delivery methods does Mavala offer? We offer you different delivery services to choose from during the online ordering process (home delivery or collection). Our delivery times are between 3 and 5 working days from the date of payment for your order.
  • Can I have my order delivered abroad? Unfortunately, we only offer delivery in mainland France at the moment. Visit the official Mavala website to find out about the other countries where our products are available.
  • How much does delivery cost? Standard home delivery costs €6.90, while delivery to a relay point costs €3.50. Free delivery is available from a purchase of €35.How can I track the delivery of my parcel? As soon as your parcel has been picked up by our carrier, an email will be sent to you with the tracking number and a link to follow the progress of your Mavala order.

Retours et remboursements

  • Puis-je échanger un produit Mavala ? Si vous souhaitez échanger ou vous faire rembourser un produit Mavala acheté chez un distributeur (pharmacie ou magasin), vous devez vous rendre directement sur place avec votre ticket de caisse. Nous n'acceptons pas les retours en ligne. Si vous souhaitez vous faire rembourser un produit Mavala acheté sur le site mavala.fr, consultez notre politique de retours et de remboursements. Nous n'acceptons pas le retour des commandes en ligne en magasins.
  • Quelle est votre politique de retours et remboursements ? Nous acceptons le retour de vos articles sous 14 jours à partir de la date de livraison. Le retour est possible si vos produits n'ont jamais été ouverts ni utilisés, et dans leur emballage d'origine. Nous ne pourrons malheureusement pas rembourser les articles incomplets ou abîmés.
